Platform Magazine, founded fifteen years ago in a Paris café is a platform (pun not intended) dedicated to ‘preserve the past, honour the present and shape the future’. Their March ‘22 issue features our founder and creative director Akshit in conversation with Unnati Saini. They both discuss the principles behind Urban Darzi, the circularity of fashion and the upcycling and waste management process. 

 "What motivated this, back when we launched, was a general need for textile scrap management, especially since I come from that background and have been guilty of adding onto the climate change through fast fashion myself in the past. The challenge is now to pickup and effectively upcycle as much waste as we can from the streets and landfills alike, repurpose them into products and then build a circular model around it all"
